After signing several new players, the 最新麻豆视频 Maroons will be without one of their top local talents from last season, as Grant Spence has committed to play for the OJHL’s North York Rangers.

The 6’2″ forward scored 18 goals and 41 points in 50 games for the 最新麻豆视频 Maroons last season in his rookie season.

“I chose to move to North York because they have an elite program and have produced a lot of college commits,” explained Spence of his decision to change leagues and teams.

“They had 6 commits last season alone. I decided I needed to jump from Junior B to Junior A so I can have some more exposure from schools and Major Junior teams.”

A 最新麻豆视频-Kent Cyclones alumni, Spence was an 8th round selection of the OHL’s Oshawa Generals in 2016. He will attend Generals camp this year as well.

He is following the path of another former 最新麻豆视频 Maroons standout, Ross Krieger who will be entering his third season in the OJHL with North York.
